I've got a thing for this girl, and I'm not doing myself any good my indulging in this self-torture, but please tell me about it? It looks like a Desert Eagle in 22, but I want it all the same.

Thanks

I do

Pretty often too...my shooting buddy has one and I get to try it every time we meet at the range.

Very accurate pistol, nice and big sights. The only down side I thought it was the small grip...anyone with large hands might not like it.

I scouted a CZ122 last year, thought it would be my 22 plinker...

I was turned off by the rough finish, especially at the innards. Reck'n too that it's too heavy for a 22. Maybe I'm just not used to a such a mid to full-sized gun firing a puny caliber...

FWIW, I do find it to be a handsome gun, may yet change my mind about getting one eventually... ;)

sorry for the late post, but I most humbly believe that I may be the best person to comment on this topic since I have a CZ 122 in my arsenal.

I bought this pistol in july of 2001 for about € 330 ($ 320). it came with a spare magazine, plastic pistolbox, a cleaning rod and a detailed instruction manual.

let me tell you from the start that this pistol shoots as good as it looks. I put about 1500 - 2000 rounds trough it without a single mailfunction. at 30 yards (2-handed, no rest) I generally shoot 3" groups (1 group = 10 rounds), alrough I'm 100% sure this pistol can perform even better, depending on the shooter.

the CZ 122 looks indeed like a .22 version of the desert eagle. it is one of the coolest and elegant looking pistols ever designed. yes, the grip will be a tad small if you have big hands, altough both my dad and I have big hands and the grip fits perfectly. so unless you have HUGE hands, you won't have to worry about that one.

the CZ 122 is not "that" heavy. of course, it's a big pistol with a 6" barrel with 2 incorporated muzzle weights, a fixed rib on top of the barrel with LPA sights, SA trigger mechanism, ... the pistol itself weighs about 30 oz. so significantly less than a Ruger or a Browning .22. finish is a duo-tone and looks real sharp.

now the bad news: they don't make this pistol anymore like mbot already pointed out. here's the e-mail I send to CZ Europe and their answer

Dear Sir,

Thank you for buying our CZ 122 SPORT pistol and the praise you have
for this model.
We can confirm that we have discontinued production of the above
mentioned pistol model. The reason for this decision is that we are
currently not able to satisfy demand for all of our products, so it was
necessary to decrease our products assortment. One of the products we have
to eliminate was unfortunately the CZ 122 SPORT pistol. Otherwise, the spare
parts will be of course available for many years to come.

Yours faithfully,

Pøedmìt: FW: CZ122 SPORT cancelled?

hello

In july of 2001 I bought a CZ 122 SPORT here in Belgium. I'm very
satisfied with this pistol, it looks awesome and shoots fantastic.

I heard rumors of CZ discontinuing this pistolline. So I visited the
CZ-website, to find out that CZ is apperantly no longer producing this fine pistol.

I searched the internet, but found nothing on this topic. Can
anybody at CZ explain me what happened? Because I would like to hear more
about what happended to the CZ 122 SPORT. Will spare parts still be
available?

thanks by advance
