I was just wondering if I could use a red dot sight on my marlin m60. I was thinking of adding one to my rifle, but i wasn't sure if it would be worth the money. I did have one on a pellet gun when I was a kid and it worked pretty well. So how would it fair on a 22 cal rifle?

i had a crossman red dot on a mod 60 for a while. it worked great when i sighted it in and when i shot it the first few times but then i let it sit a while and it lost its zero dont know if the battery was going bad or what but i put the scope back on it after that

I bought one for my Romanian bolt action, but the rail was too thin. It went onto my model 60 where it currently resides. The only thing that I don't really care for is the dot is shaped funny. It's accurate enough for target/ varmit:)

i've been using the daisy red dot sight for quite some time, but not
on a marlin M60. mine is on a nylon 66. works like a charm. my shooting buddy had a daisy red dot on his 10-22 for a time but took it off due to his forgetting to turn off the sight after range fire, thereby depleting the battery.

i currently have an el cheapo crossman scope on my henry .22. .22lr isnt going to break it, and, what the heck, it actually is the best scope i own right now (long story, for a different day). So i dont see the problem with putting a red dot on a marlin, but thats just my point of view
