About to purchase my concealed carry rig,has anyone heard of or owned a Haugen Holster? Any comments? Have checked out others but there a little out of my price range, He's running a special I'm able to afford!

He's located in my town. One of the gun stores used to carry his holsters before the store went out of business. The leather looked very well made with good attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

Jerry L. Haugen, owner of Haugen Handgun Leather, in Bismarck, North Dakota, creates excellent holsters. I own quite a few of his holsters, mostly in horsehide. I am not sure if he still offers horsehide, but back in 1999 and the early 2000's he did. I also have several in Brown Sharkskin and they are really top of the line at an excellent price. Quality, form, fit, and durablity are excellent. I carry 8 to 12 hours a day and highly recommend Haugen Handgun Leather's line of quality handgun leather. :)

According to his website his name is actually Jerry Evans. He has been featured in some of the gunmags in recent years. Good stuff and good prices comparable to the other makers out there.

Well, I have been doing business with Haugen Handgun Leather since 1999 and his business card says Jerry L. Haugen owner, but a few years ago one of the Gun writers, I do not remember which one, reviewed one of his holsters and did state his name as Jerry Evans.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! :what:

Top notch gunleather at a reasonable price and decent turnaround. I had received an Haugen Equalizer for my P226 back in Decemeber. Took about 8 weeks from order to delivery.

Someone will have to ask him next time they see him. I have always wondered why the business is "Haugen" Handgun Leather when the site shows his last name as Evans.
