Anyone had Mag-Na-Port cut down a barrel?

I'm thinking of buying a Super RedHawk 454 and having Mag-Na-Port cut the barrel to 5" and reinstall the front sight.

Has anyone something similiar done and can comment?

Rather than re-install the factory sight, you may want to consider a Weigand Interchangable System. www.jackweigand.com/interfs.html

Only takes one hole to be drilled and tapped and opens up a whole world of no tools needed sight options, including standard S&W Classic sights.

No i havnt but im going to have my SRH 44 mag cut down this year by them hour drive to there shop for me cant decide between 5 inches or 6..
