Anyone have a gun that fits "just right"?

well, some rifles just feel the opposite of right to me.. so until i find something that feels absolutely perfect i can only list things i think suck.. on that list will go anything with a straight comb stock

A Kimber 84M is something I'm not familiar with, I will assume it is a rifle. I suspect is it common knowledge the fitting of a rifle isn't nearly as important as the fitting of a shotgun. If a shotgun stock doesn't fit you well, you will never shot the gun well. But of course most of us that are serious shotgun shooters pay a lot more money for a shotgun than we would for any rifle we own or will ever own. I've never owned a rifle that cost over eight thousand dollars, but I owned a Beretta 687 EELL shotgun that sold new for close to that and sells for more than that now days. The most I've ever paid for a rifle was under two thousand dollars, and another six hundred for a scope. The fit was good, but I can't say it was perfect, but, it didn't make any difference, it was a rifle...

I've got a Marlin Model 80 I picked up at a gun show and it fits me like it was made for me.
It's only a 22LR but I love to bring it out and shoot it.

I've been saving up for a nice bolt gun in 308WIN and I may go ahead and travel to a gun shop that will fit the gun to my stature; length of pull, comb height etc.

From what I've learned; a rifles fit to it's shooter is more important than anything else if the shooter is to be happy with the rifle and enjoy shooting it for years.

I must be lucky, I have never really had a rifle that felt bad to me. That being said, while I love my M1A's with iron sights I find them awkward with scopes mounted on them. Same with with the M1 Garand, they fit perfect right out of the box.

If we are talking a rifle that traditionally has a scope, I would say that my pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight has the best fit of all my rifles. When I bring it to my shoulder the scope lines up w/o any adjustment of my head or the rifle.

My anschutz feels good, but I plan on having a masterclass made to fit me with adjustable cant/lop/cheek raiser/drop built into it for differnet positions when firing. I intend ot have it equipped for a hand stop that is infinitely adjustable too, for same reason.

My Weatherby Vanguard S2 youth model fits me about perfectly. It has a short LOP (12.5"), which I prefer. It also has a lot of drop at the comb (3/4") and heel (1 1/8"), which allows the recoil pad to remain in the meat of my shoulder pocket regardless of firing position. Fits me whether I'm shooting off hand, off the bench, kneeling, sitting, squatting, or prone. I strongly prefer California style stocks over others designs when optics are attached.

For me, most rifle stocks feel like they were designed to be used with open sites by someone who is six and a half feet tall.

I am with highpower, the M1 and M14 feel like they were made for me. Same with the M16A1 for that matter. Don't like the cramped up M4 though or long stocked M16A2.

"Ol' Pet" is a Weatherby Mark V in '06. It fits me so well that I've used the term "all married up" to describe how well I've been able to hit with it. Bought it in 1971, IIRC. Tweaked and messed with it a bit and made it a tight-group shooter. Sort of a Zen thing: "Anything inside of 500 yards belongs to me." :)

I've never tried any of the upper end guns but the two I've had fit me the best are:

Rifle: Ruger M77 - It just feels right when I shoulder it.

Shotty: Remington 1100 - I know this is in the rifle section but they fit me like I was the test guy when they made the specs. Just perfect.

I had a Savage model 46...the rifle over shotgun thing. Fit like a glove. Sold it like an idiot during a time of financial duress. No gun since has fit as well. Mine was a 22WMR over 20ga...so it went for a very nice price.

Not a rifle, but my Wingmaster seems to have a slightly longer stock than my other 870. Might be the wood, might be the recoil pad, but that gun is just perfect for me.

Well, its not a rifle, and it's not even mine either, but my dad's Stoger double(I want to say it's an Uplander) is about the most natural feeling/pointing gun I have ever picked up.

I've been through a lot of guns, but have kept two shotguns that fit me like they were custom built for me. That is, I can look at something, pull the gun to my shoulder and pull the trigger without actually aiming the gun, and accurately hit what I was looking at: A Remington 3200 in 26" Field Grade, and a simple old Savage Fox Model B 20 ga. SxS. I doubt those guns could fit me any better if they had been customized for me. A shotgun that fits like this will make most people much better shooters than guns that you have to deliberately "aim." If you don't know what I'm talking about, you've probably never had a shotgun that really fits. And on the up side, you have something to look forward to. :)

As far as rifles go, the CZ 452 Military Trainer and FS fit me perfectly for iron sighting, and the 452 American great for me with a scope. The 527 FS also fits me very well. Other CZs like the 550 generally fit me pretty well, but not like those particular 452 and 527 guns. The old K98 Mausers fit well too.

I had one when I was young and ignorant and I traded it. The 1894 Winchester made in 1950 chambered in 30WCF was the best rifle I ever owned as far as quick pointing, easy to handle, lightweight, and accurate.

Before I buy the rifle, I check to see that it feels right. I must be easy since I have quite a few rifles in my collection.

The two best feeling ones that I have are a Ruger #1 RSI in 30-06 and a Ruger 10/22 Tactical Target with a 16.5" heavy barrel. A close third is a CZ 452 with a full length stock.

I will admit that I like the balance and overall handling of shorter-barreled rifles.

Never have had one, I'm 6'1" with a 6'5" wingspan and a pretty long neck. Anything that feels "good" is the best I can find for me.

a ruger #1 in 270 is comfortable, and a t/c encore that has a high plain gun stock(sapphryre laminate, rifle) that shoots a 6.5 creedmoor(16 1/4 mgm barrel) is way more comfortable for me. i have had a stroke, and my right half is about 20% good so the high plains gun stock does wonders for me.

My Marlin 1894C. Support hand comes up a grabs the middle of the forearm where all the checkering is. Firing hand comes up to the stock and through the lever. Face comes to the stock behind the sights without having to make adjustments. All the angles of my wrist and neck are perfect. No cramping or discomfort.

The Ruger Mini's they fit me perfectly. Trigger guard could be bigger for gloves though.
