Not a real Kel Tec Fan but was looking at a "AR" style pistol

The really nice direct gas have the buffer tube and you can add a Sig Brace. But are pricey and might as well get a Bull Pup rifle.

The Piston ones are pretty expensive, but no buffer tube sticking out.

Was toying with the Kel Tec at the LGS and it did not appear to be to bad, actually fairly well made for the price. Seem simple enough. Even American Rifleman gave it a good write up.

Read some reviews which seem favorable but it still is KT. They are right here in Florida and know they have good customer service.

It needs a flash hider and a rail but other than that any comments on the good bad, ugly??:)

If anyone has one, what flash hider did you add to try and eliminate some of the major flash and noise?. KT has their own but I do not know how effective it is, a regular AR hider is still a flame thrower from the videos.

Thanks

I had one for a couple of years with no real complaints, it shot well, was fairly accurate and decently reliable. I ended up selling mine and bout an AR pistol, they are built much better than the PLR-16 IMHO.

I would of course rather have a Rock River or Sig piston driven, but the price is almost triple, The KT appears to be pretty well built by KT standards I preferred it to the fola a matic Sub 2000 9mm carbines and other rifles.
