Bingo! thanks Thumper. i've been conteplating making my own holster out of Kydex or this stuff. hopefully the clear stuff can be had in sheets like kydex.

I e-mailed them last nite to see if they sold the Ice kydex in sheet form...They havent gotten back to me yet

Anyone have any clue where to buy this??? I probably wouldnt offer this as a production item but the neat factor of it gets me to wanting to make a "oblivion" pocket holster out of it

Googling "clear kydex" brought a lot of results. Unfortunately, most of those distributors only sell in bulk. Somebody ping me back to this thread if anybody posts pics.

I don't like Kydex hoslters.... but this isn't 'technically' kydex.... but it looks a lot like kydex.... but it's cool.... but I don't like kydex....

I prefer leather as well...I carry leather as well as make my living crafting it into holsters..however I do have some customers that want kydex...Me I will always prefer leather but the current trend is synthetics and if we dont offer it to our customers then we are missing out...

I love leather and I love working with it...but I am a "custom" holster maker so I must try and meet the demands of the public...No matter how mislead they are

Have y'all checked McMaster-Carr? They tend to sell stuff like that in smaller lots. I have a friend that buys G10 from them all the time.

called a local plastics distributor. they will sell me six, 12"x12" sheets for $12. i thought this stuff might be expensive. i guess i was wrong. which is good in this case. i'll be getting some, and a heat gun, and attempting to make my own holster soon. will keep ya'll posted on how its turning out.

wow that is a little bit on the high side compared to regular Kydex...I think it goes for $4.75 a sq.ft

thats only $2/sq.ft. i thought it was pretty reasonable. i asked for 1/16th inch thick, clear, 12"x12" sheets. that gives me two experimental holsers and one final draft. and even if i mess that up, i'll just get some more. still have to get a heat gun though.
