I've been able to find posts with the 124 and 115 Gr. XTPs, but none for 147. Funny how both places anywhere near me I can get components sell the XTP bullets, but not Hornady manuals. I guess I need to order a Hornady manual, but I only reload with XTP's when I run out of Berry's and have to buy local.

In the past I tried 3.9 grs of Unique at 1.100" OAL and it shot pretty well. It was a max load in my gun. I think Bullseye is a bit too fast in this application.

Try http://www.ramshot.com I'm pretty sure they use the 147 gr. XTP in their load data. Silhouette and True Blue are both excellent powders to try.;)

Just checked and they have changed to the Remington Golden Saber in their new load guide.

Here is a picture of the results I got on my 3rd load attempt using the Hornady 147 gr XTP; 4.7 gr Power Pistol, CCI 500 primer, OAL 1.10", once fired 9mm Remington brass and 15 rounds. This load grouped quite well I thought, some of the variation was me of course, but it is a middle of the road load according to my manual I used. It should be approx. 935 fps. The max. charge shown being 5.1 gr. PP and 1.10" OAL and approx. fps 1000. At 4.7 it was a pleasure to shoot, very little muzzle jump for these heavier bullets and after trying a couple of loads with Blue Dot (which wasn't too bad) I think this a load worth repeating. But for Personal dfense you can get a much higher Ft. lbs of energy figure using a 124gr or 115gr xtp's.
