As you may know, I've been interested in buying a 1862 Police revolver made by Uberti. In doing some research, I've come across several customer reviews of Uberti's 1862 Pocket Navy and Police models that are of bad quality. Issues ranging from bad timing, to cylinders not rotating when the hammer is cocked, and loading lever latches falling off when firing.

I like the 1862's because of their small size, but if Uberti is having this many quality issues, I don't know.

So, has anyone here had quality issues with their 1862 Uberti's? If yes, what were the issues and did they ever get resolved after you sent them back for repair?

Of the six Pocket Police and two Pocket Navy revolvers I own, the only issue I have encountered is how much fun it is to shoot them.

I have a 2009 Uberti Pocket Police that I bought in 2013. I changed the mainspring and put Treso nipples on it when it continually jammed on spent caps. The loading lever catch fell off but I found it and stippled it and super glued it back on. Since then it has been pretty reliable with 15 to 18 grain charges of 3F Swiss and round balls over a lubed wad.

I have 2 new Uberti 62 pocket police both had a problem with the hand being pushed over against the arbor just took a little cleaning up of the channel both work real smooth now

I had to take a screw driver and reshape the half cock notch.

After I shot it a few dozen times I had to stake the loading lever catch.

Love this little gun.
