Recently picked up one of these neat little critters, and was surprised to see that small rimfire pistol suppressors look pretty inexpensive on several NFA dealer websites. Got me to thinking...

Has anyone ever fired a Beretta Minx (.22 short) with suppressor?

Is it way-cool in some Mossad-like way, or is it just a clanking slide and small holes in the paper?

I really need to try a suppressed firearm. I've shot tons of full auto, artillery, etc, but never a suppressor. I'm curious to see what all the excitement is about. Paying my $200 smackers and putting a tiny $300 on this Minx seems one of the cheaper ways to go, yet still cool. Any pointers?

The slide clatter is louder than the pistol.
Because the suppressor bleeds gas off, the power of the .22 short bullet isn't all that great, not really any better than a powerful air pistol, but you can shoot in the basement without irritating your spouse because the gun will be a lot quieter than an air pistol.

.22 LR and .25 acp pistols are two to three times more powerful and not much louder if a good suppressor is chosen.
.32acp would be my minimum choice for a suppressed defense pistol, still subsonic, quiet and fairly powerful even with the gas bleed off.
GemTech is a good place to start looking for a small pistol suppressor. HTH
