anyone know anything about the Springfield M6 scout scope?

This is a 2.5x20 duplex scope that I was thinking might fit the bill for an el cheapo scout set-up. I have seen it for around $80, which seems like a good deal, but I am loathe to buy a scout scope without testing the eye relief. The vendor says 7", and I need 9", but I was thinking 7" was minimum, and went out from there.

Any suggestions (or opinions on Springfield optics)?
