I'm considering a family vacation to Florida and wonder if anyone can tell me if there are any major differences between TX and FL regarding CCW rules. I don't drink, so I don't carry in bars. I don't intend on going to any schools, sporting events or concerts. I assume I cannot carry at Universal Studios or Disney World. Anything else I should know?

BTW, I will most like just bring my Ruger LCP carried in a pocket, so printing and inadvertent display will not be an issue.

Thanks.

You can carry at the attractions, even if its against their rules. They may ask you to leave if they find out you are carrying, but its not illegal.

No law against printing in FL.

You can carry anywhere not mentioned in the statute 790.06(12)

Disney, etc, are all fine to carry in - just don't advertise. That said, carry on-person, not in a bag as bags are checked. I've carried to every theme park in the state with no issues.

as far as carrying at disney, you need to look into the part of the statute regarding explosives/fireworks...
from wikipedia:
A case was filed against Walt Disney World Resort by Edwin Sotomayor, a former Disney security guard who was fired, despite having a CWL, for having a firearm locked in his car on July 1, in violation of Disney's pre-existing and strict no weapons allowed policy. The case was later dropped by the plaintiff citing personal and financial reasons. Disney claims that they are exempt from the new state law, on the basis of their having a fireworks license for conducting nightly fireworks shows at Disney World.
