Anyone own a Chiappa M6?

I own a Chiappa double badger which looks to be very similar. Its 22lr/.410, one trigger (the .410) is acceptable, the 22lr trigger is rough, gritty and too heavy. Accuracy is ok, not match grade by any means but I can hit squirrels at 30 yards with the open sights. With the ghost ring open sights I am the limiting factor for accuracy. If it was scoped I think the bad trigger would be more detrimental. The double badger is wood/blued and fit and finish are better than I expected.

The thing I most liked about the double badger is the price point, less than $300.

Well they are out for sure. I played with both the non-survival wood stocked version and the survival version at Whittaker Guns a couple weeks ago.

I previously owned a Springfield M6 and this does come close to that if not better in some ways. The double triggers are superior to the selector from the Springfield model and I like the lever better than the old top latch for opening the action. The stock ammo storage was better on the old model and someone needs to come up with a kydex storage compartment for that stock instead of the foam block.

To me these are still a bit of a novelty but I would like to have one for fun. Heck, it just might be collectable in 20-30 years. Price for the one I played with was under $600.

I like the idea, and it looks like they addressed everything about the old M6 scout I didn't like, while keeping everything I did. If the build quality is as good, I'm interested.
