I have a Sig P220 (blue), that has the factory hard plastic grips. They are slick as paper. I put 3M anti-skid tape on the front strap and it made a BIG difference. It just needs more grip on the backstrap now.
Has anyone put anti-skid tape on the backstrap of a Sig, before? I can't recall seeing any pictures of one. I've tried Hogue rubber grips and didn't like them. I don't want to get wood grips, because they thicken the grip.
Sure - I suppose I could just try it and get it over with. I'm also hoping for some alternatives. I wonder about scuffing up the back strap a bit, but what it the best way? I don't want it to look like it was dragged behind a car. A fine rasp and lightly drag it? Course sandpaper? A five-o'clock shadow?
Thanks for any advice.
