I've been told on my other favorite forum, that some folks are seeing loads of the stuff, particularly Federal, at their Wal-marts, but it's been almost completely absent around here.
One of them did just get a couple boxes at Rem Core-Lokt. I grabbed one of them, but I'd recently ordered a few boxes of that stuff on-line, and I was hoping to stock up on some of the less expensive Federal Power-Shock that Wal-mart used to always carry, and sell fairly reasonably.
But other than those couple boxes of Core-lokt that just recently popped up, 30/30 has been non-existent at all our local WM's.
What are ya'll seeing in your necks of the woods?

Ours are finally getting more handgun ammo, except 22lr of course. The 30-30, and other popular hunting rounds, don't show up in quantity until closer to deer season.

I was just at a Wal Mart Super Center this morning.
They didn't have much of anything & no .30/30 that I saw.
Last time I was in G-G-G-Gander Mountain they had quite a bit of the stuff.

I've seen a tad. I've noticed the Wal-Mart I have hear in my town in Kansas is not as well stocked as the ones I visit in Illinois.

All the Kansas one ever seems to have is .223/5.56mm everything, maybe some .300 Win Mag, and .270 Win.

Very little pistol ammunition except .40 S&W, they have plenty of that.

I refuse to shop there due to their business practices and so to answer your question, no I havent seen any 30-30 ammo there. Do some research.

dvdcrr.....I'm pretty sure that him asking here about ammo availability is doing research. Unless there's a special way to research ammo availability at Walmart that I'm not aware of.

Gee, there's been plenty .30-30 at Florida Panhandle wally's...

I seem to be one of the few buyers...grab a box at least every month...
gotta feed my old 336RC :)

Down here, hog is year-round on private property...
and the .30-30 is Perfect for that!!

Only thing hard to find down here is 10mm, & .22lr/.22WMR

I see it around here at Walmart, Bass Pro and Dicks. You can't hunt around here with a center fire so that helps the availability.

I heard at my local walmart that the reason there wasnt any 30-30 is due to the government hoarding it all, this is due to them wanting to have ammo for the stock pile of lever actions they have.................:what: :neener:

Actually there was a couple boxes last time I was there.

I was in my local Wallyworld (eastern 'burbs of Charlotte) just a few hours ago and they had 10 or more 20 round boxes of both Remington and Federal 30-30. Didn't note the bullet weights as I don't own a rifle in that caliber.

This particular Wal-mart has had most everything back in normal stock amounts (except rimfire, of course) for a couple of months now.

Look for serbian PPU its available and pretty accurate. Regarding no 22 ... I dont mean to preach but everyone who reads this... If you want to see 22lr on shelves again please tell everyone you know to stop buying it on gb.

A lgs near me has pmc bronze in .357 mag at $17.99/box 50, so I did pick up a few boxes there, but I do shop around. My buddies and also split up online bulk shipments.

If you go to real gun stores they have plenty of 30-30 ammo, at least in northern Colorado. I was in four stores today that had plenty. Walmart is not always the correct solution to a problem......

Use the Walmart app or ammo-can.net to find it at Walmart. That will even find .22lr for you. I've been buying 30-30 at Cabela's because it's a bit cheaper there.

Don't have a local Walmart, but our local shops have a bunch of 30-30 and most everything else.

No sir. Not in eastern NC. but the shelves are a bit more stocked than they used to be. Higher end rifle ammo and self defense handgun ammo mostly.

I live in VA and in laws in MD but on the border with PA. Between the 2 states (VA & PA) I can get practically anything at Walmart, except .22lr.

I live in Northern VA (near DC) and 30-30 is availiable most of the time at my local Wal-Marts.

I check a few times a week (mostly for 22LR) as I drive right by one on my way home from work.

The lower priced Winchester Power Point and Federal Power Shok Blue Box (both about $17.00 a box) sell out pretty fast.

The Federal Deer Thug bonded are about $22.00 a box and sell much slower.

I haven't seen many boxes of Remington Core Lock in 30-30 recently but it sells out pretty fast in the other calibers.
