Anyone try Hornady's new 7.62x39 ammo?

They have it for $31.99 for 50 at cabelas it looks like. Not saying it's not any good, but that's just way too much money for 7.62x39 for my tastes. I've been getting herters ammo, and for that price, I could get appx 120 rounds...just my $.02

I like to load all my 7.62 x 39 from new cases--then I can reload them many times & find the load my gun likes.
Once in a while I have purchased new ammo--Wolf, etc for the kids for their AK's orSKS's

I got some and tried it out in mt AK. Every round fired perfectly fine.

For us guys that don't reload and only own one caliber rifle, the Hornandy load seems like a pretty good choice for varmint, including the 2 legged kind. Much better choice for me as I live in a city and don't need to involve the neighbors if there are any shenanigans.

Interesting. I wonder how well it works in a Mini-30; I hear stories of it having issues firing cheap foreign ammo.

I've shot it out of my C-Z 527 Carbine.
Good accuracy and was absolutely devastating on a bobcat.

hornadys new ammo...

I will try the ammo since I am adventurous and not too cheap. I feel most AKs will shoot better if a quality projectile is loaded in them. I could be wrong but nothing ventured nothing gained. I will post my experiences on this site.
