Don't have one ... yet. I'm on the hunt for a Ruger SP101 in 9mm. Anybody has one you're willing to part with, drop me a PM!

Taurus 905

I have one I recently purchase for $300 bucks new, so far I like it ,but hate the small rubber "boot" grips that came on this pistol. I had a choice of the 905 or the 38/357 version, and decided to go with the 9mm discontinued model. I have far more 9mm ammo and no 9mm gun before this pistol.

I find myself carrying it daily now in a Bianchi Professional 100 IWB holster.

It didnt shoot very accurate with WW115FMC ammo, but I shot some Federal "Classic" 115 JHP ammo in it and it was really dead on.

I am looking for some standard earlier model wood Model 85 grips to replace the grip now on my 905....if some one has a set they want to part with, please let me know!

I would love to switch the grip system over to the small wood grips and use a modified Tyler -T- Grip!

I called Taurus Customer Service looking for some wood grips, what a riot!

Would have been better off calling my local kindergarden.

My friend. He has Colt .38 spl rechambered to 9mm Luger. Barrel is made from Suomi submasine guns barrel.

I was somewhat skeptacle of the grips when I bought a 605/357 a few years ago. (same frame as 905).

I swapped the grips for some goodyears briefly, then put the regular ones back on and haven't looked back since. Yes, they are kinda odd feeling at first, but they are short for a reason.

Just keep in mine that your pistol is setup from the factory as being a ccw.

Friend of mine has a 9mm taurus revolver 5 round. She let me fire it at the range, when I grabbed the clips and started putting rounds in them, she looked and said" Oh, thats what those are for, no wonder it was hard to unload" And she passed her ccw class with it, befor she knew how to use it.

I currently own a Taurus 905 SS concealed hammer that I purchased used. It has been trouble free, feeding, firing, and extracting several hundred rds of various 9mm ammo. I have owned a S&W 940, a Ruger speed six and an SP101 all 9s. In my experience the latter 9mm revolvers were all more finicky as far as firing, and extracting. The only qualms I have with the 905 are the availability and endurance of the moon clips.

Just picked up a 940, should get out with it this week.

I also have a pair of convertible 357/9mm Blackhawks but I have never shot 9mm frome them, I need to do that..

stolivar,
I think I tried using the 940 clips once but they were too thick and would bind the cylinder. I still have a few left maybe I'll try again next range session.

Crazy thought: What revolver could be rechambered to shoot 9mm WinMag (9x29)? I would LOVE to have a revolver to go with the AutoMag!
