Anyone have pictures of custom Ruger revolvers? DA or SA? I'm thinking about having a Ruger Redhawk chopped down, etc. and would love to see any of those.

Thanks,
Steve

Shortened Redhawk from Clements Custom Guns.

Take a look at Hamilton Bowen's gallery - see here. He's got some lovely conversions there. To whet your appetite, this is a Redhawk converted to look like a 1917 issue revolver:

The new Ruger SuperRedhawk .480 is shortened to a 4.80" barrel length. Fine tuned action and crisp trigger, inverted muzzle crown, velvet hone finish, jeweled and polished hammer and trigger and gold bead V-notch sight. Plus porting !

Check it out at Http://www.magnaport.com/conv.html[/URL]

Here are a Super Redhawk and Redhawk with custom barrels etc. that I have. One done by SSK and one by 10X Precision

I know I'm a little late on this thread but I just got my Clements Custom Bisley back and I REALLY like it!

Started life as a regular 7 inch Bisley Blackhawk in .357 Mag. Now it's chopped to 4 5/8 inch, rechambered and rebored to .44 Spl. Hd my initials and a lanyard ring (always thought they looked cool!), action job and new Ledgerwood grips on the way!

I've always wanted a Bowens Custom Guns Ruger Redhawk package. A 4" Redhawk is such an all purpose gun.

Hey Steve,

If you want to see a custom Redhawk as pretty as any one you will ever see, just e-mail me at [email protected]. I don't know how to post pictures to this web sight but I can send you a picture if you e-mail me. By the way, it is the same Redhawk cut down by Wildalaska's Wild West Guns and posted on this site a month or so ago.

mcassill how is that redhawk in .500 to shoot is it controlable? I have been thinking of one in .475 does anyone know if you can shoot the .480 ruger out of the .475 Linebaugh?

this is the Alpine by Bowen it looks similar to the WWG Redhawk and I have lusted for one since I first saw it.

45 Colt Bishawk, Bisley frame w/Hogue cocobolos, Bowen rear sight, Belt Mtn base pin, steel ejector rod housing and 1/2 moon ejector rod. 2 # trigger. Heck, all's I wanted was a short barreled Bisley w/adjustable sights, never could figure out why Ruger doesn't just MAKE the darn things!

Use the link in the above post go to the SPECIAL GUNS link. The last gun pictured on that page is a Ruger. Started out as a SBH ended up as "THE GREEN MACHINE , .41RemMag & .41GNR best part is that it is MINE.

WHY, WHY, WHY?????

Why hasn't anyone put a barrel on the SRH that matches the profile of the frame extension?

You could do a 5 or 6" barrel that way without it getting too terribly heavy and it would look like a real revolver instead of like someone just jammed a rifle barrel into the frame as an afterthought.

I guess it would look like a GP100 on steroids...
