I am thinking of putting an ultradot 25mm red dot on my super redhawk. I currently have a millett, and it works good, but I'm getting a custom holster made and want to be sure I have the scope I want on there forever when I order the holster. Will I be pleased with the ultradot? I just think in the long run it might hold up longer, made in japan, lifetime warranty.

What do you guys think? I have another gun I want to put a millett on anyway, I just want the best on my revolver.

The ultradot does have a 4moa dot compared to the millett 3moa, not a concern for hunting, but a minor inconvenience when on the bench. I'll get over that I'm sure.

I have used both the millet and the ultradot. I have found the ultradot to be superior to the millet. I have had several millet dots flicker on and off while i was shooting. That being said. I have 5 ultradot 4 dots on my bulleye guns right now. But i'm in the process of switching to the aimpoint system. Why?? I have found that the ultradot, dot shape vary from scope to scope. No it's not my eyes i have had several people check the dots side by side and all came to the same conclusion. No slams or digs necessary . This is just what i have found. Jim p

P.S. THE AIMPOINT DOES HAVE A 2MOA AVAILABLE.

Thanks, my current millett works great, and seems to hold zero on the 44 mag, but I bought a second one that came in and was defective. Kind of makes me nervous. I think I'll buy the ultradot and put the millett on my muzzleloader (primitive isn't it?). Looks like direct from ultradot is about the best price after free shipping.

Wow, ordered my ultradot directly from them on Friday afternoon, had it on my gun Monday! It's very nice. Really quite similar to the millet, I like the finish on the ultradot a bit more, and the view is a bit brighter too. All said and done though the lifetime warranty is what I like best.
