I'm about to make a trade on 3300 of these https://thebluebullets.com/product/1100-9mm-356-135-tc-special-order/ and would like other's thought's on loads for these projectiles. My pistol powder inventory is AA 2 and 5, 231, Bullseye and Unique.

I would prefer using either the #5 or 231 as I have a larger quantity of these two. These will be used in an FN 509 MRD/RMR practical pistol match gun at my local club. Not much load data on this weight bullet out there.

Thank you for any information you're willing to share.

The ones I use are Red, about the same profile. Any good data source will have Start and Max for 135ish grain 9mm bullets. Plunk test to determine COAL.

For coated, you can start with Cast or Jacketed bullet data and work up; the coating will behave much better at high velocity than cast, but might not make full jacketed velocity without loss of accuracy.

I load their 147 .356 RN, it’s a special order as well. I used Hodgdon’s online data to extrapolate for W244, similar to 231. They do have data for a 135 Acme coated, so you’ll be close. I prefer Sport Pistol or Target for these, they achieve a higher velocity than an equivalent jacketed load. Check the bullet weight when you get it, the 147’s run a few grains higher on average, not an issue it just helps with the PF.
I would use 231 over #5 to start, I think you’ll find a decent load. Good luck.

Looks OK to me. I have some of the same design. Some I cast myself and some Hi-Tek coated. Great general shooting bullet I use in 4, 9mm pistols...

The only thing I'd do is double check the diameters as .356" is the smallest I'd reload, and prefer .357" for my cast and coated bullets...

Blue Bullets are very popular in the competition world. Just put an order in. Back order is approximately 8 weeks
