I am loading 9mm with 115 grain xtp and red dot could someone look up the specs for me please? in my hornady 49th they don't have red dot listed for anything jacketed.
thanks guys

Sorry I don't mean to hijack your thread but I just came here to look for 9mm 90gr xtp with 700x data. If someone checks their book for the OP I would appreciate the specs for 700x with 9mm 90gr xtp. Thanks.

No loads for Red Dot with 115 XTP's in the Hornady 9th Edition.
For JBrady555:
9MM--case tested Hornady--primer tested WSP
90 gr. XTP-HP---oal tested at 1.070"
IMR 700X------start 4.2 -1150fps-----4.4-1200-----maximum 4.6-1250 fps

Thanks a a lot rg1

thanks rcmodel. I really like red dot I wish there was more data available... I hardly ever have a problem finding it around here and its not overly expensive either.

I understand that Alliant plays down use of shotgun powders in handguns, preferring to promote powders presented for handgun use. However, Red Dot, Blue Dot, and Green Dot used to be standards, and there was data that is no longer published by Alliant.

The following link is to a copy of Alliant's old data listing, wherein you will find many references to the "Dot" family of powders.

I have a "One Book/One Caliber" revised 1995.
It gives a listing for Hornady Bullet #35540 HP/XTP 115gr. at a COL of 1.050".
Red Dot --- Min.3.7 gr. Max.4.1 gr.
That seems like a pretty narrow range.
Hope this helps.

attached is the 115 grn load data from the 1996 hornady manual. based on that I would run 3.5-4grn red dot. And I agree with Arthur, that narrow range is something to take note of.
