Anyway... I can't find any evidence that CCW on campus in PA is illegal...

Bars and pubs are OK for CCW in Pennsylvania. The PAFOA forum has some good info on this subject.

PA Bill: Unless you can show me a citation otherwise, bars are OK in PA.

goon: my experience is that cops are an awful source of what's lawful and what isn't. The number of times I've encountered policemen asserting the illegality of something that was actually perfectly lawful eliminate them as an authoritative source for me.

Ok ..............I hear you.
Seems many in Adams Co. believe otherwise........
One way to find out --Gettysburg Court House !!

~THANKS~

GOOD MORNING AMERICA

Yesterday I went to the Adams County Counthouse....Feb 22,2008 / 2:30pm
Gettysburg Pa..........
Sheriff's Office: Basement of that Counthouse

Concealed Pistol Permit Information..........

The DO NOT"S:

1- Do Not carry your weapon into Federal, State, County, Municipal buildings,
hearing offices or school property.

2- Do Not carry or possess a weapon on Military Installations.

3- Do Not carry your weapon when drinking alcohol or into any facility
that sells alcohol.

Unfortunately the pub conversation was correct.
Now ----off to the York Gun Show

~LATER~

I think that those are more "should nots," instead of "don'ts," and the police will use their discretion to charge you with DC, a variant of what used to be called "BnA," should you decide to enter a bar or restaurant that has a booze license.

Did you ask for the legal citation for this? Because it would come as a surprise to the NRA, the PA firearm owners association, the ATF, handgunlaw.us, the PA state police, and many other places that provide information on PA law.

Yeah, I just scoured the ATF book of published firearm laws and ordinances, and wasn't able to find any reference to a prohibition on bars/pubs/liquor stores. I assume that if you're actually intoxicated and in possession of a firearm, you're probably going to run into trouble, but otherwise, I see nothing.
