Apex Tactical Trigger Kit

Don't just think about upgrading your M&P. DO IT!!!

I own 5 M&P's, and they all have an Apex Tactical trigger upgrade... Even my Pro models. The Apex Tactical upgrade is just that good.

All of my Apex upgraded triggers are well below your conservative 5.5lb estimate. Mine are all at or just below 4lbs. This is accomplished by doing just a little polishing on the trigger bar and contact points with the trigger bar.

If you like to have a tactile and audible reset, I would highly recommend the Apex RAM upgrade.

I have installed two of the kits in two full size M&Ps. The Apex triggers are better than the trigger on my 9Pro.

Installation is easy. Watch the instructional videos from Apex Tactical. Some small springs in the kit can get lost if not careful.

A few days ago I installed the Duty/Carry Spring kit in the M&P 9C. The instructional video by Apex on Youtube was extremely helpful. Its not that hard. All I needed was a punch, small hammer, and a needle nosed pliers. It seems to me that some of the M&P triggers vary a bit. My trigger and my wife's M&P 9 are almost identical. I upgraded my springs because my M&P had over 6000 rounds down range and I though the trigger just didn't feel as tight as it used to. Recently I handled a M&P 40c and the trigger wasn't nearly as nice as either of mine. The reset was much less noticeable on the 40. If I bought it I would definitely install an APEX sear in it. Mine is good with just the springs in my opinion. The APEX parts are very well regarded on the M&P forums. If you check the forum you will find all kinds of reviews and often parts if you want to save some cash. Don't be afraid to do the work on the M&P. Its pretty easy. Good Luck!

what is it that famous athletic shoe maker says....Just Do It!!

you cant find a better easier upgrade for a trigger.

necro bumping a bit...

I put the Duty carry kit into my m&p45 mid size last weekend and wow what a difference! It actually is a better trigger now than my m&p40 that I sent to Burwell. It is very slightly stiffer than the Burwell'd m&p40, but way better than factory, but the take up and reset are much better. I may get the regular m&p kit now and see if I can improve the m&p40.

The install was fairly easy, I followed the guide on youtube that applies to the m&p40 and m&p9 but it is the exact same process. The exception is the m&p45 kit includes a slave pin for reinstalling the trigger which was nice once I realized what it was and stopped trying to figure out where it went in the gun ;)

I sound kind of like a shill for Apex, but I just have kits in my j frame and my m&p45 and could not be happier with them.

No MP, but I do have a Powder River trigger kit installed in an XDm which I did myself. My point here is that modification of a trigger in a carry weapon does open the door for potential legal issue in the event of the weapon's use against someone, especially a modification that decreases trigger pull. Not a lawyer, and obviously I am way pleased with the improvement in trigger function in my XDm, but just thought I would offer that up since this I think you're describing this as a carry weapon. If comfortable with that, I can tell you that this is the best money I spent on improving my XDm. Have to think the same true of the MP.
