I have a preban Colt AR 15A2 Sporter, the users manual states this barrel has a 1 in 7 twist rate,my question is why don't you see more 1 in 7s? Does this add value to the gun?

There are many, many AR barrels that use a 1:7" twist rate. It is not uncommon at all, actually, it is the exact opposite.

Does it add value? Not in my opinion. Will it make it easier to resell should you ever want to? Yes. Most people who shoot ARs want a 1:7" twist barrel.

Actually I am selling this gun locally, its in excellent condition. I have several prospective buyers and Im thinking of asking 1000.00. I am not into sticking it to people just because of our current administration, but I don't want to be stuck either!!

I would not consider gun broker and accurate judge of value. That being said, I agree that your gun could likely sell for more than $1000. That is a very classic configuration. Let me know by PM if you are going to sell and I will see where I am at for $.

BTW, nice rifle !
