Hi all.....
My name is Jon, and I'm an AR oholic.
Hopefully you fine folks can help me out with a decision.
I have, a problem you see. I have a project AR which is near completion. The only things it needs are:
Bolt Carrier.
Firing Pin
Cam Pin
Firing Pin Retaining Pin
Charging Handle
A2 Upper Buttstock Screw.
Here's my questions of the week:
How hard is it to put together a stripped bolt carrier minus the key and screws?
Is this someting easily accomplished?
Will I need a special tool?
Or, should I just go the lazy route and get a complete bolt carrier group with bolt and have an extra bolt?
It looks to be cheaper to just buy the parts and put it together, but if it's gonna be a pain in the butt, I'll just pay the 119 and get a complete carrier assembly.
Any thoughts/ ideas appreciated.
Jon
