Not sure.

AR-15 finishes range from the orginial anodized aluminum to more recent spray painted finishes on some brands.

As such, colors have ranged from greenish black, to black black, to various shades of grey-black.

You could try looking through some some Duplicolor auto touch-up paint and maybe get a pretty good color match.

Birchwood-Casey sells an aluminum black chemical, and a black touch-up pen.

^^ What They said But I like the bottle and use a Q-tip. Sounds like you have a few. You might need to repeat two times, and it's the best you can do.

I do some OEM work and we use Testors Model Master Acryl to touch up the black hardcoat on our stocks and receivers.

Alternatively, you can strip off the anodizing with a lye solution and then reanodize. The coating on the AR-15/M-16 receivers traditionally has been Type III sulfuric anodizind, and you actually can do it at home (see the web and Google "Home Anodizing"). Black Rit coth dye will give you a mid - to - dark gray color.
