How do you remove the firing pin from the bolt in an ar-7?

If your AR-7 experience is anything like mine I would suggest using either a rock or tire tool..........You'll feel better afterward

I know I know, it's a PoS, but I kind of love it! It's so handy at 2.5 lbs. It's a real bunny assassin. Seriously... HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE FIRING PIN?

I found schematics galore, but nothing explaining how the pin comes out of the bolt.

I'm not going to explain AR-7 disassembly/assembly but to answer your question, with the bolt removed and with an appropriate size gunsmith center punch, punch the highlighted pin.



Size 5/32" should do it. Lastly, unless you're actually replacing parts, I would not recommend disassembly to this level.
