So I recently got my PSA Rifle kit in the mail and have started the journey towards making it mine.

It started life as a standard M4 Style upper but that was not going to cut it for me. I punched out the taper pins (which was not hard) and removed the A2 sight. I put it in the vice and used a dremel and cut off wheel to remove the sight tower. I then used a sanding drum to reprofile the gas block to fit a Midwest Industries 15" rail.

While waiting for the dremel to recharge I went ahead and removed the delta ring and barrel nut, and installed the MI nut using the supplied barrel nut wrench head. The MI wrench requires a 1/2" drive torque wrench to tighten, which is where I ran into my only snafu. When the torque wrench was in the nut and on the barrel nut, the 1/2' head hit the vise block. I ended up having to insert the torque wrench drive to before the ball detent on the wrench in order for it to clear the block.

I got it torqued right and finished sanding the gas block to shape and got it and the gas tube reinstalled. I still need to coat the gas block in grill or header paint, but other than that its ready to go.

I have FDE MBUS installed and a Burris TAC30 on the way, as well as a PSA Lower.

Up next is a FDE MOE Stock and a MOE Grip, and Im thinking about painting the rail FDE as well.

I also want to get a brake to go with a QD Suppressor, but I dont know which way I want to go with that just yet, so Ill probably just get a Levang Linear Comp or just leave the A2 for now
