Hey guys, I was wondering.....
this is my 10/22.
usually I run a Aimpoint, or that cheap reflex red dot on it, or a 16 power scope.
I have a hankerin for some iron sighted fun tho, and I have a set of flip up AR buis laying around.
If I was to drill and tap the front .920 portion of the barrel for the BUIS, and put a picatinny rail on the back......
Do you guys forsee I might run into any major issues? I have never done anything like this before, not even sure how to go about it.
Boresighter? mock it all up first? I wonder how to true it up....
i am probably getting in over my head, but it might be fun.
I would appreciate any thoughts.
<yes I have a .22 upper for my AR, but 10/22s are fun too.>
Things to keep in mind. The "comb" of the stock is high, for scope use, so the elevated AR sights should in theory work fine. I wouldnt need the "lower" mounted Tech Sights or what have you.
