AR guys... Handguard replacement?

I have a RRA Elite Operator II and would like to change the half quad handguard with a Magpul MOE. Could someone give details on removal? Also, will the RRA flip front sight/gas block work with the Magpul? Please help.

Does the RRA handguard use a delta ring? If so, just pull that back and remove the top and bottom halves of the handguard.

That half-quad handguard is a free floated handguard, and is one piece. It will require a bit more work than a standard two piece handguard to replace.

You'll need an armorer's wrench. You'll have to remove the flash supressor, then the front sight, then the FF tube, then the barrel nut.

Also, will the RRA flip front sight/gas block work with the Magpul? Please help.

Should, as long as the gas block sits against a shelf on the barrel. But you may need to remove some material from it so that the block is still properly oriented over the port after the installation fo the front hand guard retainer.

You'll also have to install a standard barrel nut and deltg ring.

My suggestions would be to just get a different upper. You can get a carbine or middy upper from DSA for as little as $250, and they'll even knock a couple bucks off for no hand guards.
