So, I recently bought a couple DPMS mags with Magpul upgrades - their self-leveling follower and the Ranger floorplates - and I find that one of those mags with 30 rounds doesn't seat nicely on a closed bolt, while the Bushmaster 30-rounders do seat nicely on a closed bolt.
I also got a couple of the other DPMS mags, which are made by a company in CT, but I haven't tried those yet to see how they behave. I did notice that the BFI and DPMS-with-Magpul-upgrade mags both have circles down the front and spine of the mags, like they were stamped there to join them, but the plain "milspec" model from this CT company don't. Odd.
Hence, my question(s) are about AR mags in general, whether it's "normal" to have issues getting them to seat in and lock when they are full and the bolt is closed, etc. Comments appreciated.
