Read somewhere that only a small percentage of 80% lowers end up in a functioning firearms because they either get messed up in the process or no attempt is ever made to complete it. I can see the appeal, but it seems to make sense for only for a narrow market segment -- which apparently is supported by whatever stats I previously came across.
