I don't know anybody's experience with them, but if you didn't notice already you should note that they don't mention a bolt or bolt carrier. I would imagine it's not included, making it about a $500 upper.

I do know their .22lr uppers are decent though.

I have no personal experience with them whatsoever, but I've heard good things about ER Shaw barrels.

Perhaps somebody could chime in who owns a Model 1 upper?

I have a Model 1 upper in 6.8 and it is a tack driver the quality and accuracy was well worth the dollars spent.

Ive built 2 rifles from Model 1 Sales rifle kits.

Both are great guns, plenty accurate and reliable......and I shoot exclusively Wolf ammo in them.

One issue I did have was treated VERY quickly and professionally.

Also note that if you call them they will add M4 feedramps for $25 more - there is no option on the web for it but you can do it on the phone.

I have had a 16-inch HB upper from Model 1 Sales for around three years now. It runs well, feels well built, and has only given me one problem--when it was new the bolt carrier key was not tightened down sufficiently at the factory, and caused the rifle to short stroke. I tightened the two bolts down 3 years ago and have not had a jam since.

I'm looking at buying another kit or two from them in the near future.
