I like this graph. I beleive that it is using either M193 or M855 ammo though.

I also use the 50/200 yard zero on all my AR rifles in .223/5.56. I agree that it is not exactly dead on at 200, but it is close enough for me.

I have thought about doing the standard 25/300 on the small sight and trying out to offset in the 0-200 sight. Just havent gotten to it yet. Waiting for a chance to get out to the "long" range to give it a good eval.

On my DD 1.5 I have the "small" aperture zeroed for 50 and I don't really use the "large" one. Are you guys saying that if I zero the small one at 25 and then flip over to the large one, it will be zeroed at 50? If so I might have to get this a try...

I've also seen nearly endless rave reviews for the Troy Folding Battle Sight. That said, I've heard the occasional "I'll never do business with Troy" here, and that's enough to have me wondering if Troy deserves my business.

Easy. Buy used Troy sights off EBAY or elsewhere. You get the quality (the Troy folding backups are quite excellent and function well as primary sights) and you don't have to give any more to Troy.

I'd like to swap my fixed rear Troy with one their folding sights. I'm waiting on a deal to pop up for a used one as all I've seen so far are new ones.

Someday, someday. :)

Like I said earlier, almost all of the reviews I found for the Troy flip up battle sights were great. But I also saw a couple reviews where people said they needed to unthread the front post so far that they could just about see daylight underneath it, just to be able to get the elevation lined up correctly with the rear. Is this a case of people buying an unmatched set of Troy flip up sights? I saw something about Troy offering different height options...

Hmmm. I can tell you that with my Troy fixed rear sight used with the fixed F marked FSB on my 16" midlength that I had to put the front post just about dead even with the protective ears. I believe the folding Troy rear is the same height as the fixed Troy rear.
