I haven't been over to ar15.com in a week or so and I find that it's down.
Is it my computer or have they gone dark temporarily or permanently?

It was working a couple of hours ago and the domain registration shows valid through 2011.

It looks like the DNS is pointing to a a godaddy parking page rather than the actual servers for some reason (mistake, hijack, 'net gremlins?). Looks like they just need to go into their domain management page and fix the nameserver entries. I would guess it will be back shortly.

You can still get in via the ip address http://69.95.2.67/, although your cookies won't work and you'll have to login again.

    Hope that helps.

There was a temporary DNS hijack as I understand it. They are back up now.

"Our domains will be moving registrars in the next day or two, which may lead to some DNS issues while things propogate across the internet. If you experience such issues, please try to reach the site through it's aliases.

The switch will be quick for some people and slow for others, depending on their ISP and DNS servers cache timers. We apologize for any issues this may cause, but it was important for us to make this change."
