Guys I'm confused on where to attach the front of the sling on my ar15 service rifle. I see the bracket on the bottom of the front sight, but a regular sling swivel will not snap in it, because the small pin is too big for the holes, and not long enough. Also, wouldn't attaching a sling to the barrel or sight contradict the reason for having a floating hand guard on? Is there a swivel mount that fits this bracket on the bottom of the front sight or barrel, or should I go another route of mounting this sling. If you can, send me an attachment on where to purchase the parts I need. Thanks guys a bunch

Sir, there is a sling loop and pin made for standard attachment to the front sight base. I'd be glad to send you one if you will PM me.
But, sling tension, when attached in that manner, can affect the accuracy of the rifle. That was the only sling method allowed when I shot combat rifle matches in the military. I don't know the rules for current service rifle competition, but some of the fine members here will be along to answer. If you are not restricted by match rules, it's common to drill the bottom front of a floating handguard for a conventional sling stud.
There are a number of tactical options for "railed" handguards, but I assume you have a round floating handguard.

What kind of floating handguard do you have? I don't know any service rifle legal floating handguard that doesn't have the sling attached to it and not the sight tower. This is the style that I'm talking about from CLE: http://www.compasslake.com/SR Parts.htm You can see where the sling swivel attaches under the triangle end.

Thanks guys for the replies. I have the Rock River A2 style floating hand guard, but at the bottom of my triangle end cap does not have that sling attachment. Anything else I can do, or will I possibly have to order another float tube, and hope my existing hand will fit?

Not rock river, sorry, Dpms. It has the bracket at the bottom of the end cap. What sling swivel and sling loop fits in there?

Got it figured out, DPMS had the correct rivot, and sling mount for that float tube.
