Anybody tried both the jp yellow spring AND the DIY clipping one leg of the hammer spring on an ar15? If so what did you think? which one was lighter?

I've got the clipped leg and the set screw and have been pretty pleased, but if I could go even lighter for just a couple of bucks more that would be nice. I don't have a scale, but I'm guessing right now I have 4# and just a little creep.

******I am not interested in sending off to bill springfield or buying a complete drop in trigger, I'm sure your's is great, but I'm not going to spend the money. I'm already at good enough, I just want to know if even better is cheaply and easily attainable ********

I had the JP yellow springs but then I found the hammer spring to be to light because it was having trouble popping some primers. I switched back to using the standard hammer spring.

Get the hammer spring too light and it won't reliably ignite a mil spec or maybe even a Rem 7.5 primer.

you think you could bob the hammer and get your ignition back? I've never had issues with the clipped spring and a standard hammer.

have the yellows on 2 ars noa and havent had any problems with wolf or xm193 - trigger is a great improvement over stock for $10
