Are Springfield XDs Any Good?

I have an XD40

and I love it. I have only had problems with Winchester 180 Grain rounds from a box of 50, but it gives me no issues with any other ammunition. I have had rust on the slide, but I was able to get most of it off. It's not a matter of not taking good care of it, so much as it is a problem with the finish on some of the guns. It's hit and miss, it seems. I have found that Blue Wonder Armadillo has worked well to protect it, but I still may send it in to Springfield if that doesn't work. It's reliable, accurate for a CCW, and easily concealed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one to anyone.

I've had an XD40 for about 18 months now. It had had about 2000 rounds run through it. No problems. I like this gun. Its ergonomics and design features are quite good. I think this pistol is for real. I cary this gun for serious social purposes when I could carry other guns. I know of no higher complement.
