I am very interested in finding out if the compact glocks fit my hand or not and obviously the best way to find out is to actually hold them. But do any of you know pictures that are life size? Like the life size pictures of the XD pistols Springfield runs in magazines. That let me know that a xds fits surprisingly nicely to allow my pinkie to be on the grip. Interested if that is how it is on the glocks. My greatest aversion to compact pistols a pinkie finger hanging in air

There are many more considerations to "proper fit" besides grip height. You're going to get a far better idea of how a gun fits your hand by actually visiting a gun store and holding it.

There are a number after market magazine extensions (end caps) that will give your pinky the purchase you want. I like Pearce, but that's a personal choice.

Life size photo is worthless . Width is a big part for what makes a pistol feel right and the only way to know is to handle them.

You can pretty much look at any Glock after the 2nd generation and figure out that if there are 3 finger notches on the grip your pinkie goes in the bottom one. If there are only 2 notches there isn't room for your pinkie.

Compact Glocks (19, 23, etc) have 3 grooves and your pinkie fits in the bottom groove unless you have huge hands. Sub-compact Glocks (26, 27, etc) only have 2 grooves. No way a normal size hand will come even close to getting a pinkie on the grip.

Glock (and others) make magazine extensions that add another finger groove for your pinkie to the sub-compacts.

You have to try them out. The number of grooves doesn't help much as the spacing is different, I don't have huge hands but my pinkie felt squeezed on G19, perfectly comfortable on G17. Thickness is another factor. Weight and balance also matter.

While you can shoot Glock subcompacts with 2 finger grip, I prefer 3. I put Pearce +1 grip extension on the bottom of the magazines for 3 finger grip that's more comfortable for me.

Here's my G27 with Pearce +1 grip extension.

Are you referring to the 19/23/32-sized guns? What we might consider to be medium-size or "middleweight" guns, Glock considers to be their compacts. Your pinky finger won't hang off these unless your hand is very large. It might rest on the magazine floorplate. It will on the subcompacts (26/27/33 series) unless you use a mag extension, but your pinky should not be simply hanging off and doing nothing anyway. Note how the shooter is gripping this small-frame revolver.

His little finger is curled up under the butt so it provides some support.
