Are there any fluent speakers of the language of Vietnamese people here?

If so, I have a simple request if anyone could help me..

I ordered a set of buffalo horn grips from Vu Kim Son almost 2 months ago. I sent an email in English asking what the expected date of arrival would be, but I was only met with a short message saying "Your grips are still produce here, please be patient!"

I'd like to send a more understandable message to him, saying, for the most part, "What date can I expect my order to be shipped? Order number is 191"

Thank you =)

Got the following from http://www.stars21.com/translator/english_to_vietnamese.html :

For better clarity I used "What date can I expect them to be shipped? Number is 191"

gì ngày tháng có thể tôi chờ đợi chúng nó trở nên tàu thuỷ ? số là 191

Comes out: "What date can I expect them become ship ? number is 191" :p

Not too sure about the accuracy ..

I have had fair dealings with Vu Kim Son in the past.

In french it would be :

"Cher Mr Vu Kin Son ..... Pouvez vous me donner une estimation de la date à laquelle vous pensez pouvoir me livrer ? "

if it can help

Thanks guys, I'll see if it works =)

The main reason I'm asking is because my order still says "pending" 54 days later, but they charged my CC the day after I made the order.

I have been waiting for a set of grips from him too. I saw some of the great raves on this forum and others but I was not sure what to really expect.

My understanding is that the normal wait is 2 months, and then two more weeks for mail.

I have heard one story about items being held in Customs for 6 months before they were tracked down. :fire:

I wasn't sure how popular the guy was, and with precious little in the way of information on the site pertaining to shipping dates, policies, and the like I'm just kinda sittin here in the dark wondering if they're working on my order or not. I'm not pissed, I'm just chock full of anticipation.

I'm not shooting the pistol til I get those grips in, so a combination of anxious waiting, and withdrawals from having a new pistol I can't shoot til an undisclosed date for no reason other than I want those grips on it before I do.. I'm sure it's not hard to imagine how happy I'm gunna be when I get them on it, but I want to make sure I'm not waiting on a day that'll never come.

If it said "In progress" or something like that instead of "pending" which it said before my CC was charged, and still says the same thing 2 months later, I'd be fine. Actually, I'm fine now, but dangit.. I want those grips! :D

I ordered some stuff from him and it took a fair while...but even though the Houston Post office kicked it back to him the first time, he sent me an email, we got the address fixed(my fault), and I got my package. It was worth the wait, IMHO.
