Are there any non-third-world nations with lax gun control laws? Is there any country I could move to that would allow machineguns and CCW with little hassle?

If you're comin' here to secede, bring LOTS of money. We aren't exactly self-sufficient.

Need them federal dollars to keep flowin'. :D

Yemen has the second highest gun ownership rate in the world according to the U.N.
Also, men in Yemen and Oman openly carry jambiyas/daggers
everywhere.Even here in Georgia carrying a jambiya openly in public will draw attention from LEO,although it is legal.

BTW,I think the term third-world country is entirely subjective.

Yemen=Islam. New Zealand packed in the registry foolishness, but I'm not what goes on now. I just joined an NZ firearm forum and asked what the laws are. I'll get back to ya'll.

uhhh, yeah, bring money.

and women! single women, preferably.

and i could use a few thousand rounds of surplus 8mm that ya'll buy for like a penny per pound.

and some food from red lobster while you're at it.

and a couple cases of Red Dog beer. seems they cant sell it up here cause of a mine that is named red dog.

did i mention to bring women? :neener:

No deal, next place we invade needs to have a theme park.

I've always wondered what MOUT in Sea World or the Magic Kingdom would look like.

:D

Just curious, but is the U.S. No. 1 in gun ownership? There are about 250 million guns in circulation, but are we the highest on a per capita basis?

Numbers I have seen are that 1/2 of all small arms in the world in in private citizens hands right here in the USA. Shows a great deal of restraint is you ask me. And, free people do not tend to whack each other.

I guess that means yes. Good!

Full Metal, did you spend some time in Yemen? A former colleague of mine worked there on an oil project for a while and told me about the wide availability of weapons there. A real fourth world country is Chad (5th poorest in the world at the time). Spent two years there and loved the experience.

And the Uruguay-ian girls are hot!

I was an escort (USMCR) for the Winter Special Olympics a few years back and one of the Uruguayan athlete's hot sisters (not special) was a team helper with his mom.

Somewhere in Uruguay a young woman who looks like Shakira gently cries herself to sleep at night clutching my shooting badge.

It's pronounced (really sexily when she said it) OO-roo-why. :D

are you sure its not 'somewhere in spenard a young man with excellent fashion sense and a chic haircut cries himself to sleep while clutching a picture of himself'?

:neener:

Why anyone would want to sink assets into - let alone move to - another country, especially a south american country, ONLY to be able to do what you can already do here relatively inexpensively, is completely beyond me.

For tax reasons, I can understand it. For women reasons (assuming you're a spineless man who prefers women who aren't uppity) I can understand it. For sexual tourism, I can understand it. Just so you can pack a gun and shoot full auto weapons at the end of each day?

If you can afford to feed one anywhere to the point where you'd be regularly using it, you can afford to own one here.

Even if there's a place with better gun laws, I guaruntee it'll not be as pleasant a place to live as the US. Especially SA- you're looking at huge corruption, culture shock..

I suppose it's a decent liquid fantasy.

Yeah, Red Lobster, they shouldn't be allowed to show food commercials in a state that doesn't have the restaurant. Alaska is kind of like a foreign country. You can shoot pretty much anywhere exept the national parks and some of the "big" cities. Depending on who is in political power, Title II firearms are pretty easy to acquire. If you are close to Anchorage you can find some great ammo deals.
