Well I have a little surplus toy money and am at a complete loss as to what get next. I've come up with three choices and would like to see what yall think.

  • HK P7. Top Gun Supply has a couple different grades for sale and seem like a good opportunity to pick one up.

  • FN\Browning Hi-Power. They're classic and look sweet.

  • Build a 9mm AR. Just finished my first AR build and it was a bunch of fun. Between Surplus Ammo and Model 1 Sales I could build one without breaking the bank.

I went P7 as these will only get harder and harder to find especially in good shape.
The other guns you mention will be made for a long time in the future.
Also the P7 is appreciating very well and wont take but maybe 10 years to be worth 2x what you paid.

Another vote for the Browning............Mine is over 60 years old and still shoots decent groups.

I voted P7, as said by others it won't be easier to find one next year, spare mag are already getting hard to find and are rather expensive (~$40-50) when you do.

OTOH if you prefer shooting rifles to pistols, the 9mm AR is a real nice option between .22LR and 5.56 at ranges ~50-100 yards.

HiPowers are great, but they are plentiful and it'll still be easy to get one next year and beyond.

You WIll end up with all three, eventually. May as well start with the one that is discontinued. ;)

I have a P7m8, and I like it well enough. I have a Browning Hi Power, and they can be as addicting as 1911's. I just finished building a 9mm Carbine AR that uses Glock mags. THAT THING IS A BLAST!!

Choose your poison. They'll all be in your collection sooner or later. ;)
