I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has had experience with this rifle, particularly in the.308 caliber.Any comments as to accuracy, quality and customer service would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I'm curious about this gun too, so I'll give this thread a BTT in hopes that someone who has some insight to share will see it.

In particular, I'm curious if the AR-30 in .308 has any advantage over a Rem 700 or a Savage 10FP?

I have the AR30 in 300W and it easily shoots under 1/2 moa. I really like the rifle but I would recomend the Rem 700 over the AR30 if I was looking for a 308. The Rem has more options especialy with the stock. If you don't like the feel of the AR30 stock then there are no other options. Also, it is a big rifle for a 308. You could get a 700PSS with rings and 20moa base for what the AR30 costs. An even better option for a 308 would be the FN SPR A1. Mine shoots .3" at 100yds with berger 175gr VLDs.
