I finally got around to taking some pics for you guys. There were a couple of surprises with this one...some good, some meh. The barrel is just over 16" and is chrome lined as advertised. Supposedly 4150 steel with forged 7075 upper and lower receivers. The barrel is a medium-ish profile, but it has a grenade launcher cut just forward of the gas block. What the heck? I really don't care for that part, but at least the handguard covers it. We'll see how it shoots before I get too disappointed.

Anyway, the gas block is adjustable via allen screw. If anyone has any experience adjusting one of these for a can, I'd very much appreciate any pointers you can lend.

The castle nut is lightly staked. It's not exactly "mil-spec" staking, but it's not a "mil-spec" rifle. I thought it was a nice touch. The fit and finish are excellent...no noticeable play between receivers. The bolt and carrier appear to be pretty solid.

The trigger is a very nice 2-stage. It's definitely modeled after Rock River's, but it feels more robust. The 2nd stage is prominent but light and smooth.

It has an ambi charging handle that should rival anything that Bravo/VLTOR makes. I expected to replace that, but I won't now that I've handled it.

What else? The muzzle brake looks like a beast. It's not anything like the stock pics. I'm sure it's very effective, but I'm kinda waiting for my Dead Air Nomad to get approved before I shoot it.

Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see or know about it. I'll do my best to answer.

Hi, I finally got my Nomad silencer and shot this thing today. It functioned perfectly with cheap surplus ammo. I can't comment much on accuracy, because the scope I was using is an absolute dud. I had tried it on my M1A, and now I know it's the scope and not the rifles. As far as the gas adjustment goes, I choked it all the way in (righty tighty) before I started shooting, and I didn't have to adjust it once throughout 200 rounds. With the silencer, it threw shells 2 bays down; without the silencer, it threw shells 1 bay down. It never failed once, but take that with a grain of salt. It *might* have trouble with more expensive SAAMI hunting-style ammo, but that's not what I have on hand, and that's not what I bought it for. YMMV, but I'm extremely happy with this thing. I got 2"ish groups at 100 yards with open sights, and I'm looking forward to trying out a decent scope on it.

Btw, I still needed ear plugs to comfortably shoot this with the silencer. I'm impressed with the Nomad, but it can only do so much...

AND, the brake works extremely well...just double up on earplugs and muffs.
