In October, Conner Prairie (living history museum) will be hosting its Arms Making Workshop. In various 2 days, 2-1/2 days and 5 days workshops, you can learn from the masters how to forge your own knife or tomahawk, make a Tansel style powder horn, a hunting bag, silver wire inlay, build patchboxes, relief carve your gunstock, engrave your metal, make a portmanteau or build a rifle from a kit. Recognized instructors like John Schippers, Jim Klein, Jim Chambers, Art De Camp and others will be there. It's a week long, the camaraderie is great and you get free admission to the grounds while you're in class.
Classes fill fast.

The May 2007 issue of Muzzle Blasts magazine has a one page article about the workshop. My article on Conner Prairie's Armsmaking Workshop should appear in the June issue.
I hope to see some of you guys there.
