ARMY rejects M9A3 proposal

I remember when the m9 Beretta was picked over the S&W 59 to replace the Colt 1911 .45s.

Also remember some of the the FBI agents carrying the Glock23 .40s&w.

Today I feel it's a lot to do with what is offered by the firearm Mfg.s to both Military and Law Enforcement that gets the contracts.
 
I have many handguns one I bought years ag is my trusted Glock23 .40s&w,I carry it a lot and trust it 100%. It's not the best target shooter at the range, but up close if needed it will do the job.
 
Glock has 2 different style safeties available. A 1911/M&P style lever, and a frame mounted push button. (pushed flush is hot, sticking out either side is safe)
Had a safety. No current models being produced and I believe it was narrowed to one or one was a photoshop hoax if my recollection is on par. It's already mentioned that they made a safety at one time on a parallel thread on the same subject line as well as this one I believe. Not to mention several other older threads here and abroad.
