Arsenal Strike One discontinued?

Remember when The Croation XS 2000 was the next big thing in pistols?

It's now the Springfield Armory XD. The price darn near doubled with an American branded company.

I suspect that's what they are hoping for. If they build it here they can charge more and export more dollars than building it in Italy for cheap and importing it at a discount.

It wasn't cheap to begin with, so who in their right mind would pay in excess of $1000 for this plastic wonder when Glock 17 is $500, Ruger SR9 is $424, and Springfield XD is $430 on Budsguns as of today ? Especially given that Strike One / Arsenal have no brand recognition, whatsoever. No great customer service stories. No proven reliability record. No easy access to parts and accessories. They seem to think that if they behave as if they were hot sh#t people would pay through the nose. Sorry, they're no H und K or Walther or Sig. It takes decades to build up that kind of reputation.

If anything, they should price this gun in the sub-$400 range tops and hope people think it's sexier than XD or Ruger.

Well if they're not willing to partner with a major manufacturer, and they don't have the capital to do it themselves I guess they're going to be **** out of luck.

Yes, which is another reason to avoid buying any handguns from such a company.

Exactly. Unless you just collect guns. If you plan to use it hard, you will want and need factory support for parts and service. Without it eventually the gun can become a very expensive paper weight.
