reading thru back issues of guns & ammo, i was piqued by some info on long distance shooting...it was 10-15 shots within 10" at 1000-yds. now, i must say that i don't like shooting rifles. i only now have a Marlin 336 but have shot a few other rifles/shotguns...i am not able to shoot rifles for a respectable group at distances. nor, do i care to put the effort to do so.i prefer handguns, but respect those that specialize in this area..now, my question of interest is the following: Who amongst Y'all have ever personally shot/ not witnessed a group at 1000-yards of 12" or less...what rifle did you use? what was the chambering? used factory or handload? what were the circumnstances? other equipment used; scope, etc..? was it in competition or was it informal ? what helps you with your concentration? and what was your level of experience when you first succeded? any other relevant info of interest personal/technical appreciated? pics are appreciated... finally, if someone in Hpouston/san ANTO NIO/aUSTIN area is able to do such a feat. i would be honored to witness the experience...within my means, i would invite you to an afterwards treat...
