    Hello,
My tax refund came in on Monday, and I am looking for another handgun. The criteria are as follows: semi-auto, ambidextrous controls, compact size (3-4 inch barrel), decocker, 9mm, prefer DA/SA but if there is a revolutionary DAO system out there please suggest it. In addition to the criteria listed, I do not have a bias toward polymer, steel, aluminum, or unobtainuim framed guns. Given the above desirable features, what would you guys and gals suggest?

    Thank you!

What controls need to be ambidextrous? Decocker, safety, slide release, and mag release? Or just some of them?

The only thing that immediately comes to mind is an HK USP-compact (Variant 1, 2, 3, or 4, depending on if you want a manual safety, and what side you want the lever on). If it weren't for the ambidextrous controls, I'd suggest a Sig P239, which only comes with controls on the left.

Sig P239 or CZ Rami 2075. Based on your criteria, these are the ones. The Sig is the Rolls Royce.

Based on his criteria, the Rami isn't a fit. Don't know about the "Rolls".

I think I may have a winner here. The H&K P2000 v3 (DA/SA) looks good, and will be shopping around for one later in the week. Given the recommendations here, I will leave out the ambidextrous controls part as the SIG P239 is also being considered.

    Keep the suggestions coming please.

    Try Eagle Tactical: http://64.49.225.136/Default.asp?Redirected=Y

I just got my P2000 9mm in V3 from him for $680 shipped. It has already moved into my #1 spot ahead of the USPc 9mm, Sig P229 and Glock 30. Oh yeah, and I just picked up the P2000 yesterday.:D
