Wiped the oil off, and went shooting. Did some informal 100 rounds with Lawman 40 s&w 180 gr. TMJ. The Rami failed to feed about six times. Round seemed to catch on barel ramp, slide open. Actuating the slide fed the round and all was fine. Perhaps some more rounds will break it in.
One time the hammer landed on the slide because the slide was shy of forward by about 1/8 inch. A gentle push forward, and all was well again.
Accuracy was good when I did my part. The 638-2 shoots a bit tighter at 15 yards.
Carried the Rami a few times. Packs really nicely, and I totally love the ergonomics of the safety.
A friend let me compare with the Sig 357 fired from a P239. The recoil was very similar. Perhaps the Rami 40 had a snappier and healthier recoil. I fell in love with the Sig. Friend said it has NEVER mis fed. I would bet the Rami would pack better for me on my motorcycles, however.
Fired many different arms today , life is good, God bless all of you on THR.
